Patience is the shittiest time machine
If you have a tolerance for spicy food, that opens you up to a whole genre of flavors that you couldn't enjoy otherwise
I think there's a few parallels there with music. If you can handle cheese/campiness, or screaming/growling, or lo-fi, or 'girly' music, that opens you up to genuinely enjoy lots of things you couldn't otherwise.

This project is unique amongst the cluttered category of fully-consuming personal projects I've undertaken,
in that none of the others have so tidily themselves been an outlet to express the listlessness that can follow when you finish ('finish') something that has kept you from wondering what to do with your free time for a while
